Improved Biodiversity, Increased Climate Resilience, Recreational & Cultural Benefits,The ambition of this project is to trialthe replacement of existing tree stumps in parks with new tree pits that are able to allow a greater amount of water to soak away during heavy rain fall. In addition to reducing flood risk in the area, the new trees planted in the pits will absorb carbon from the air and will improve local biodiversity as healthy trees support pollinators and higher chain species. The project will take place over multiple years, to allow time for the stumps to removed, the new trees to be planned and then planted. *This project location has been randomly chosen within the borough*
