Shropshire council have purchased a kon-tiki kiln with the intention of making biochar out of biomass in Severn Valley Country Park. Kon-tiki kilns are excellent, low-cost methods of making biochar out of biomass which result in fewer emissions from the burning of biomass (which takes place currently) whilst the biochar itself will become an excellent long-term store for carbon. *This project location has been randomly chosen with the borough*
